Michael Swope

Michael Swope serves as Director of Wealth Management Services at Waukesha State Bank, where he provides strategic leadership across investment management, financial planning, private banking, retirement plan services, and brokerage solutions. In this role, he leads the development and oversight of diversified, multi asset portfolios designed to align with clients’ long term goals, income needs, and risk tolerance.

Michael brings more than 20 years of experience across institutional consulting, asset management, and wealth leadership. Prior to joining Waukesha State Bank, he led a $5 billion institutional consulting platform at Robert W. Baird & Co., Inc., partnering with sophisticated clients and advisory teams nationwide on portfolio construction, asset allocation, and long term investment oversight. Earlier in his career at BMO Global Asset Management, Michael provided manager research and portfolio oversight across equity, fixed income, and alternative strategies, with responsibility for investment decisions influencing more than $30 billion in client assets. This experience continues to inform his disciplined, research driven approach to helping clients balance growth, income, and risk across market cycles.

Michael holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is actively involved in the community and serves on the Finance and Investment Committees for Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity.
