Don't give them your identity (Phishing Alert!)
Waukesha State Bank works hard to protect your privacy. But there are those out there who work each day to find new ways to catch you off guard and steal your identity.
One of the most common approaches is called "Phishing."
Phishing refers to attempts made using your email address to request personal information, such as social security numbers, account numbers, pin numbers, etc.
Be warned! Some of these attacks can be quite sophisticated—even including logos from legitimate financial institutions, and using links to bogus temporary (and very real looking) websites.
So as a reminder, Waukesha State Bank’s policy is to never request any personal information via an email, phone or any other electronic request. (For more information on our Privacy Policy, please refer to the Privacy Statement located on the bottom bar of our website.)
When in doubt, NEVER give out your personal information. Call us first! And if you do receive an email you feel could be phishing, please forward it to us at wsbcontact@waukeshabank.com. Please be assured that Waukesha State Bank continuously take every precaution to protect you, our valued customer, and your personal information.
